Carborundum Wheel Engraving done totally Free Hand and By Eye Sight, No Templates
This method of glass engraving is considered a lost art form today with each engraved piece truly unique and different. Carborundum wheel engraving offers a distinctive look. Every cut is deep etched by hand (depending on the thickness of the glass) with precession into the glass creating detail and sharpness that offers a much cleaner look to the finished piece opposed to the sandblasting. The engraving process consist of a rotating wheel spun on a lathe which spins an assortment of different size carborundum cutting wheels at various cutting speeds depending on the wheel sizes. The engraver would press the engraved piece into the cutting wheels make the intended cut. It takes several cuts to shape and form the letter or design. Each cut is made totally free hand with no guides or templates to follow, the spacing of letters and all cuts is made by eyesight and many years of experience. Hand Engraving also offers a wider thickness to the lettering which we have 4 widths of cutting wheels we can use, Old English lettering being the widest, monogram letters being a middle size, and names and date being the smaller of the sizes. This process is perfect for engraving monogrammed initials, names, or lettering with 1 line of text, 2 lines of text maximum, more than 2 lines
text should use satin etching engraving process. Hand Engraving is also perfect if you would like to engrave one of our hand engraved design styles with adding a name
or initials to the design. Do not use hand engraving if you want a script type font style or matching a font style in a logo design, Hand Engraving is limited to block shape lettering and not good for multi lines of text. We also have 16 different and unique hand engrave design style which you can add to you text or you can just order them by them selves.

PRICES INCLUDE ENGRAVING - CHOICE OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING;
(1) Custom Engraved Monogram Style engraved FREE or included in the price of each item. Choose from 6 different 3 letter monogram styles, 2 singe letter monogram styles or 7 different names monogram styles. Prices include one of the 16 monogram style with up to 12 letters per line. Extra engraving charges apply for adding additional text, extra lines of text are calculated at $3.95 for adding one additinal line per piece (2 Total) and $7.50 per piece for addign 2 additional lines (3 Total). Usually maximum amount of hand engraved lines of text is 3 lines. More than 3 lines of text you should consider the satin etching engraving process.
(2) One of our Hand Crafted Design Styles. Choose from 16 different hand crafted design style with our Palm Tree design being one of out most popular design. The design style we offer are the Clipper Ship, Schooner Ship, Sail Boat, Ketch, Sloop, Mallard Bird, Sailfish, Eagle, Pineapple, Horse, Unicorn, Floral, Rose, Grapes, and Wheat design. If adding it to a monogram initials or name there is an additional charge of $5.00 per piece for the combination.

Please note when ordering that you may have a different name or initials on each glass. Make sure to enter your total quantity so you get your appropriate discount and enter your different names or initials in the engraving information text box on the order page of the web site.
EXTRA ENGRAVING CHARGES
$3.95 PER PIECE TO ADD 1 ADDITIONAL LINE OF TEXT (2 TOTAL)
If you would like to add a second line of text with your monogram or name, maybe add a date or title (groomsman, Best Man...) to your order there would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.
$7.50 PER PIECE TO ADD 2 ADDITIONAL LINES OF TEXT (3 TOTAL)
If you would like to add a second and third line of text with your monogram or name, maybe add a date and title (groomsman, Best Man...) to your order there would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.
$4.50 FOR THE COMBINATION OF A DESIGN STYLE AND A MONOGRAM STYLE
If you would like to add a design style to one of the monogram styles, there is a $4.50 charge for the combination. Please make sure to check the appropriate box under extra engraving charges and make sure to select the design style from the drop down menu. Please note that unless the box to add the design style is checked under extra engraving charges we will not engrave the combination.
