Satin Etching / Sandblasting is a popular method of engraving and offers a smooth frosted look to the etched area, whitish in color which stands out, and can feel the etched area when running your finger over the engraved area. Satin Etching is perfect for accurately reproducing your business, club or organizations logo designs and also for multiple lines of text and sizing small text to fit small engraving areas. We can also add and match any text to your logo if desired. Perfect for engraving multi lines of text where you would be able to have unlimited font styles choices from Microsoft's word or can use your own custom font style. You can also use the hand engraved monogram styles to pattern initials after, you can use style #1 - Classic, style #2 - Straight, style #3 - angled, and style #8 - Single letter, in any of the hundreds of font style choices. Satin Etching is a very timely engraving process where a stencil has to be created of your art work and/or text for each piece. The engraving process starts by the uploading of your art work where we would clean up and remove any jagged decibels and size it to the engraved piece. Next we would cut each stencil and apply the stencil to each glass. The preparation of the stencil can be timely and is done by removing the engraved area from each stencil on each piece, once the preparation is finished the glass is ready for the blasting process, then removal of the stencil, and finally cleaning of the finished product. Once we have your art work saved you can reuse it over and over again for all future orders.

Logo Image File Requirements If engraving a LOGO or IMAGE please email us your art work, your image needs be in the correct format of 100% solid black and white or a 2 color pallet, with NO GRAY SCALE, or shades of gray in it, similar to a bitmap image. We are DEEP ETCHING your image, the black area in your image is the engraved area and the white area in your image is left un-engraved. A multi color image or gray scale images, with shades of gray are too confusing to which part of the image gets engraved and what part is left un-engraved so we need to define the engraved areas possibly having to re-create areas in the image and simplify the image, to only one solid color in your image, solid 100% pure black and white image, only one solid color can be engraved, the solid black area of your image would be the engraved area and the white area of your image is left un-engraved. This is why your image ultimately needs to be solid 100% black and white and NO gray scale or shades of gray. Your image should be emailed to tom@tomsglassworks.com in a image file format (order of preference) an EPS file, JPG, TIF, or BMP file, the file size should be very large for the highest resolution, at least 500 KB in size, with 1 MG even better, the larger the image file, the cleaner the reproduction. EPS file and Jpeg format would be best, but can also be a TIF or BMP. Keep in mind that the quality of the engraving is match to the resolution quality of your art work you submit.

If you image is in color and you are not able to convert your image I can convert your color image for you into solid black (engraved area) and white (un-engraved area). There is considerable amount of time needed to convert a color image so the upload fee to convert your color image, clean it up, upload and save it in our files is $35.00 instead of $12.00 for a solid black and white image. The one-time upload fee also includes the cleanup of pixilated and any jagged decibels that may be in your image

If you are engraving a logo design please email the image that you want engraved separately from shopping cart. The shopping cart does not allow you to attach any jpeg files so a separate email is required with your image file, as well as any special instructions. When placing an order make sure you choose your font style from the drop down menu or enter the font style name from Microsoft's word, enter your engraving information (names, initials or multi lines of text) in the engraving text box found at the bottom of order page and describe text set up, approximate letter size and any special engraving instructions. If you would like to use one of the hand engraved monogrammed styles for initials, enter the monogram style number, font style you would like and the explain letter placement (first, middle, last). We will email you confirming that you have correctly entered all your engraving information or if we require anything else before processing your order. PRICES INCLUDE ENGRAVING - CHOICE OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING;

(1) Your Company or Organization Logo design with up to 16 letters included in the logo image are engraved FREE or included in the price of each item. Extra engraving charges will apply if adding additional lines of text to your logo after allotted text (16 letters) of $2.50 per line (16 letters) for each additional line of text or priced at $0.15 cents per letter will apply.

(2) First 2 lines of text engraved FREE in your choice of font style, choose form our list of font style from tech drop down menu on each order page (list of 23 fonts styles), or you can send us your custom text font or choose one of Microsoft's font style from word, with up to 16 or 18 letters per line, maximum 32 letters total, up to 2 lines of text engraved FREE or included in the price of each item. Extra engraving charges will apply if adding additional text after the first two lines of allotted text (32 letters). Extra Engraving Charges are list below.

$2.50 PER PIECE FOR ADDING 1 ADDITIONAL LINE OF TEXT (3 TOTAL)

First 2 lines of text are FREE or included in the price of each item. If you would like to add 1 additional line of text
(3 Total) to your order the extra engraving charge would be $2.50 per piece to add the third line of text to each piece. There would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.

$4.75 PER PIECE FOR ADDING 2 ADDITIONAL LINES OF TEXT (4 TOTAL)

First 2 lines of text are FREE or included in the price of each item. If you would like to add 2 additional lines of text
(4 Total) to your order the extra engraving charge would be $4.75 per piece to add a third and fourth line of text to each piece. There would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.

$7.50 PER PIECE FOR ADDING 3 ADDITIONAL LINES OF TEXT (5 TOTAL)

First 2 lines of text are FREE or included in the price of each item. If you would like to add 3 additional lines of text
(5 Total) to your order the extra engraving charge would be $7.50 per piece to add a third, fourth and fifth line of text to each piece. There would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.

$4.50 TO ADD ONE OF 16 HAND ENGRAVED DESIGN STYLES

If you would lie to add one our hand engrave design styles to you text or logo image there is a additional charge of $4.50 per piece. Please make sure to check the appropriate box under extra engraving charges and make sure to select the design style from the drop down menu. Please note that unless the box to add the design style is checked under extra engraving charges we will not engrave the combination. There would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.

$4.00 SECOND SIDE STENCIL CREATION AND ENGRAVING

If you would like a second side engraving there is charge for a second stencil creation of $4.00 per piece. If you are engraving a logo or image for the first time than you would also have the one-time upload charge for your image. Also please keep in mind for each logo image we upload the $12.00 charge will apply. There would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.

COMPLEX LOGO IMAGE FEE

$2.50 per glass for ordering 1 to 23 pieces
$1.75 per glass for ordering 24 to 99 pieces
$1.25 per glass for ordering 100 or more pieces

Since all logo images are not the same, some logo images are more detailed or complex to engrave than others and require more time in producing the finished product which requires an additional fee. The additional fee is per piece charge onto the base price of each item or glass. To find out if your logo image amy require a complex logo fee please email us your logo images in a EPS or jpeg file format and I will be happy to look at it and let you know for sure.

Here is a basic guide to whether or not your logo image will require a complex logo fee:
1) Logo image with more than 12 to 15 letters in them.
2) If you are engraving a crest. Crests will require a complex logo fee.
3) If you are engraving a Military patch or logo. Most, but not all military logo's will require a complete logo fee.

$12.00 ONE-TIME UPLOAD CHARGE FOR ALL FIRST TIME LOGOS OR IMAGES

If you are engraving a logo or image for the first time there is this one-time fee to scan and upload your image or logo into our files, size you image and clean up of your image. Once we have uploaded your image or logo into our file you can use it over and over again for all future orders. Also please keep in mind for each logo image we upload the $12.00 charge will apply. There would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.

$35.00 ONE-TIME ONLY SET UP FOR LOGO'S NOT IN A SOLID BLACK AND WHITE FORMAT

If your logo is not in a solid black and white image and we need to convert your art work there would be a one-time fee of $30.00 to modify your art work, Once your art work has been modified and saved to our program then you may reorder any of our products without being charged the set-up fee. Includes clean up of image. There would be an extra engraving charge which you would need to check the proper box on the order form.
